On this trip to India you will traverse the very heart of the nation as you race from the capital of Mumbai on the western coast overlooking the Arabian sea through four different Indian states plying your way in two weeks through the glorious landscape, ancient history and fabulous culture of this magical country till you reach the crystal clear waters of Chennai on the shoreline of the Bay of Bengal. This is the Mumbai Xpress.
Moving at the speed of an auto rickshaw gives you ample scope to see all the amazing sights and beautiful places this region has to offer including a variety of hidden away attractions off the tourist trail allowing you to experience a true adventure in India and encounter its people, culture, history and cuisine as you explore the real India off the beaten track.

ITINERARY
Day 1 (09-Aug-25)
Get into the spirit of the occasion with a range of challenges and events in and around Mumbai making sure you’re prepared for the journey ahead and the adventures you’ll have along the way.
Day 2 (10-Aug-25)
Get familiar with your three-wheeled vehicle with our full instruction on how to control and maintain this iconic mode of transport, and then some practice in the traffic of Mumbai to test your skills.
Day 3 (11-Aug-25)
Hit the road and experience the best form of travel in India as you head by the Kanakeshwar Forest to Alibaug the beautiful coastal city with superbly peaceful beaches and the famous ancient Undheri Fort. The Mumbai Xpress is on the road!
Day 4 (12-Aug-25)
Cruise across the countryside of India as you thread your way through the hills from the coast to the inland city of Pune famous for the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganpati Temple.
Day 5 (13-Aug-25)
Climb into the hills as you head out of Pune towards Mahabaleshwar, home of the Elephant’s Head Point, the breathtaking vistas from Arthur’s Seat and the simply beautiful Mapro Gardens.
Day 6 (14-Aug-25)
Head on back to the beach with a long run down to Ratnagiri with its famous Ratnadurga Fort, tree-backed Anjarle Beach and Swayambhu Ganpati Temple all looked over by its Jaigad Lighthouse.
Day 7 (15-Aug-25)
Rush south down the coast into the former Portuguese colony of Goa where the vibrant streets of Panaji and its innumerable attractions await you, whether you prefer Patnem-Colomb beach at sunset or the Reis Magos Fort by dawn.
Day 8 (16-Aug-25)
Vehicle maintenance, rest and recuperation and some of our trademark events in and around the city will give you a break before you continue your adventure in India aboard your three-wheeled steed.
Day 9 (17-Aug-25)
Roar south out of Goa and back into India proper as you race down to your goal of Bhatkal which is well known for its unforgettable Lord Shiva Temple and the mosque at Noor Masjid.
Day 10 (18-Aug-25)
Make your way to Mangalore with its world-renowned Kadri Manjunath Temple, the stunning Tannirbhavi Beach and the charming peaceful atmosphere of Sammilan Shetty’s Butterfly Park.
Day 11 (19-Aug-25)
Over the hills and far away climb up to Mysuru inland home of the famed Maharajah’s Palace, the Amba Vilas, and the imposing Namdroling Nyingmapa Monastery, and Sri Chamundeshwari Temple.
Day 12 (20-Aug-25)
Race on through this stunning landscape towards the ancient city of Bangalore with its busy Basavangudi food markets, Krishna-Chandra Temple, and Malleswaram.
Day 13 (21-Aug-25)
The overwhelming sights of the Sripuram Golden Temple, Vellore Fort and Arulmigu Balamurugan Ratnagiri Tirukkovil make this one of the most amazing stops on this journey through India.
Day 14 (22-Aug-25)
Journey towards the rising sun as you run down to the coast at Chennai in time for the traditional closing ceremonies and one of our world famous after-event drinks parties. The Mumbai Xpress finishes here.

Deposit: We ask for a 750 Euro deposit on each Rickshaw which may sound pricey but provides ample deterrent against event participants wrapping their new transport around the nearest tree for the sheer hell of it (we have found). The deposit also acts as an expense account for any repairs that need doing along the way that some of our more adventurous packages don’t cover.
